Happy Mother's Day - Surprise your mom on your wedding day!

This Sunday is Mother's day. It is going to be celebrated across the nation by daughters, sons and wonderful husbands. It is a day to tell your mom how special she is. Why just say it once? Why not surprise your mom on your wedding day with a handmade gift to tell her how special she was and always will be in your life?

Some suggestions are as simple as giving her a thank you card or as complex as making her a photo book of all of your favorite memories with her. The gifts are very individual and only you know how to say "thank you" to your mom.

My favorite idea is to keep all of the "scraps" from your wedding dress alterations and sew them on a handkerchief. This is something very special for her to have during the ceremony and to keep forever.

Your wedding day is going to fly by. Another suggestion is to give your mom the handmade gift right after you wake up with your first cup of coffee or on your way to get your hair done. It is a nice surprise for your mom and it starts your day of with hugs, kisses and lots of love.
